Purpose of the Role:

The Total Rewards Manager plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing total rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role is responsible for ensuring our compensation and benefits structures are externally competitive, internally equitable, and strictly compliant with local labor and data privacy laws. Partnering with regional HR teams and local HRBPs, the Total Rewards Manager will lead annual campaigns, manage corporate efficiency projects, and drive continuous improvement across all reward operations.

Reporting Structure
•    Direct Report: Head of HR, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao
•    Dotted-Line Report: Corporate Head of Total Rewards

 

What You’ll Do :

Compensation
•    Manage the annual compensation review cycle, including annual budgeting, merit increases, promotions, market adjustments, and bonus/incentive payouts.
•    Establish and maintain salary structures, review market competitiveness, and actively participate in market surveys to analyze compensation trends.
•    Review and recommend new hires’ salary packages, ensuring they are balanced against internal equity and external competitiveness.
•    Collaborate with HRBPs to perform job evaluations for new or revised positions and support ongoing job architecture processes.
•    Prepare compensation analyses, cost modeling, and recommendations for management review. Provide C&B-related advice and guidance to HRBPs, line managers, and HR stakeholders.
•    Ensure strict adherence to compensation policies, governance frameworks, and approval processes.

Benefits & Vendor Management
•    Support the administration and continuous review of employee benefits programs (medical, insurance, wellness, retirement, and leave). Analyze utilization, costs, and employee feedback to identify enhancement opportunities.
•    Regularly review HR policies and employee benefits to ensure market competitiveness.
•    Manage external service providers (e.g., group insurance brokers, health screening facilities, etc.). Coordinate program implementation and renewals while rigorously evaluating their data security standards, contractual terms, and SLA performance.
•    Support benefits harmonization, optimization initiatives, and ensure alignment with local statutory requirements.

Policy, Compliance & Regulatory Monitoring
•    Lead the drafting, review, and regular maintenance of the Employee Handbook, Work Rules, anti-harassment policies, labor-management committee frameworks, and internal HR guidelines to ensure policy compliance, fairness, and competitiveness.
•    Support internal and external audits related to compensation and benefits. Ensure all practices strictly comply with regulatory and legal requirements.

Total Rewards Strategy & Projects
•    Identify opportunities to streamline reward processes and improve operational efficiency.
•    Lead the implementation and communication of new total rewards programs, policies, guidelines, and communication materials.
•    Participate in global reward projects, including benefits redesign, pay transparency, and rewards transformation initiatives.
•    Monitor macroeconomic trends, inflation, and legislative developments affecting rewards programs. Participate in other ad-hoc HR projects as required.

 

What will make you successful: 

Must-Have:

•    10+ years of HR experience with a strong specialization in Total Rewards 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
•    Strong analytical, cost-modeling, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
•    Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and line managers.
•    Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of driving annual campaigns and efficiency projects from end to end.
•    High integrity with the proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive personal data with strict discretion.
•    Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills (ability to draft policies and explain complex C&B concepts clearly).
•    A continuous improvement mindset, customer focus, and the agility to adapt to changing market and regulatory landscapes.
•    Professional working proficiency in both Mandarin and English
