Medical Scientific Liaison
Purpose of The Role:
The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) serves as the field-based scientific expert responsible for building and maintaining credible, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and other external stakeholders. The role facilitates scientific exchange, generates medical insights, supports evidence generation activities, and provides strategic medical input to internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
What You'll Do:
• Build and maintain trusted scientific partnerships with KOLs, HCPs, investigators, and healthcare stakeholders within assigned therapeutic areas.
• Gather, analyze, and communicate medical insights from the field to support medical and brand strategies.
• Deliver accurate, balanced, and evidence-based scientific information regarding products, disease states, and clinical data.
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries, including questions related to product efficacy, safety, and off-label use, in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Support the planning and execution of advisory boards, scientific exchange activities, educational programs, and speaker engagements.
• Identify, profile, and develop KOLs while assessing their clinical practices, research interests, and educational needs.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs on data generation activities, including investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs) and clinical research initiatives.
• Provide scientific training and medical education to internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams.
• Represent Zuellig Pharma at scientific congresses, medical meetings, and healthcare forums to gather insights and monitor therapeutic area developments.
• Contribute medical expertise to brand planning, medical strategies, and evidence-based decision-making across the organization.

Must-Have:
• MD, PharmD, PhD, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or other Health Sciences degree.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, clinical research, or medical affairs environment.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific literature evaluation, and medical information exchange.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Advantage to Have:
• Previous experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison, Medical Advisor, Clinical Research professional, or similar medical affairs role.
• Experience engaging and managing KOLs, investigators, and healthcare professionals within specialized therapeutic areas.
• Understanding of the local healthcare system, pharmaceutical industry, and regulatory environment.
• Experience supporting investigator-sponsored studies, clinical trials, or real-world evidence initiatives.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience delivering scientific training and educational programs for internal stakeholders.
• Advanced ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate clinical study data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
