Purpose of the Role:

The Medical Advisor is responsible for providing medical, scientific, and strategic leadership across assigned therapeutic areas and product portfolios. This field-based role supports the development and execution of medical strategies, strengthens relationships with key external stakeholders, and ensures that all medical activities are aligned with business objectives and compliant with applicable regulations and industry standards. The Medical Advisor serves as a trusted scientific partner to internal teams and healthcare professionals, helping to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based decision making.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute medical strategies and plans that support overall brand and business objectives.
  • Provide scientific and medical expertise to internal and external stakeholders on assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and participate in conferences, symposia, advisory boards, and other medical activities.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and relevant organizations.
  • Identify unmet medical needs and generate insights to support portfolio growth and lifecycle management.
  • Support scientific communications and respond to medical inquiries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, Market Access, and Pharmacovigilance teams to ensure compliant and effective execution of initiatives.
  • Review and provide medical approval for promotional, educational, training, and patient-related materials.
  • Support the development and delivery of medical and scientific training programs for field force and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide medical expertise on safety-related matters and collaborate with Pharmacovigilance teams to support drug safety activities.
  • Contribute scientific input to regulatory submissions, label updates, market access initiatives, and business development opportunities.
  • Support evidence generation initiatives, research collaborations, and medical-led projects where applicable.
  • Manage medical activity budgets and ensure efficient execution of approved medical plans.

What Will Make You Successful:

You are a scientifically driven healthcare professional with strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex medical information into actionable insights. You excel at building credibility with healthcare professionals, collaborating across functions, and driving medical excellence in a highly regulated environment.

Must-Have:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
  • Experience in a Medical Affairs, Medical Advisor, Medical Manager, Clinical Research, or related pharmaceutical industry role.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical medicine, scientific literature evaluation, and evidence-based practice.
  • Experience engaging healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical standards.

Advantage to Have:

  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of the drug development process and clinical research environment.
  • Experience in clinical trial design, implementation, or oversight.
  • Experience in scientific publications, medical writing, and presentation delivery.
  • Market access and health economics exposure.
  • Experience in pharmacovigilance and drug safety activities.
  • Established relationships with key healthcare stakeholders and medical societies.
  • Budget management and project management experience.
  • Regional or multi-market experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
