Purpose of The Role:

To support inventory management and import operations for products sourced from overseas principals and suppliers, ensuring timely product availability and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements. This role coordinates import activities, customs clearance, shipment tracking, and related documentation while working closely with principals, service providers, and internal stakeholders to support efficient supply chain operations and business objectives.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager in overseas procurement, demand planning, and inventory replenishment to ensure product availability and inventory levels align with contractual commitments and business requirements.
  • Coordinate with overseas principals to obtain forecasts, prepare and process purchase orders, and monitor inventory performance in accordance with company policies and agreed supply terms.
  • Manage day-to-day import operations, including shipment tracking, import documentation, customs clearance coordination, and communication with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping agents, and insurance providers.
  • Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with regulatory requirements through accurate maintenance of import records, including HS/HTS classifications, country of origin data, product costing, and related master data.
  • Utilize trade agreements such as FTA, AFTA, and WTO schemes to support import duty savings, prepare import cost analyses and shipment reports, and provide documentation for management review and principal approval.
  • Coordinate claims and payment-related activities with principals, banks, insurance companies, service providers, and internal stakeholders, while maintaining effective working relationships to support smooth supply chain operations.

 

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, import/export operations, logistics, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of import procedures, customs clearance requirements, HTS/HS classifications, and trade agreements including FTA, AFTA, and WTO schemes.
  • Effective communication skills in English with proficiency in Excel and Word, supported by strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.

 

Must-Have:

  • Inventory Planning and Operational Management.
  • Import/Export Operations, Customs Clearance, and Insurance Claims Management
  • SAP Materials Management (MM) Module Knowledge
  • Moderate Microsoft Excel Skills for Analysis and Reporting

  • Customs Broker License/ Training Certification (Thailand)
