Medical Science Liaison (TA: Respiratory)

Purpose of the Role: MSL will be the field medical expert responsible for providing scientific and medical support to external and internal stakeholders. The individual will provide scientific information and to support medical/ scientific information needs of Healthcare Professionals in assigned therapeutic area(s). This field-based position will proactively build relationship with HCPs through the scientific approach that is aligned with the Brand and Medical Plan. MSL will need to be a credible and valuable representative of Zuellig Pharma in a variety of interactions with key stakeholders.
The TA to be covered with be Respiratory.
What You’ll Do :
A. Medical support for external stakeholders
• Act as scientific expert in the key therapeutic categories for external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain scientific trust-based relationships with KOLs.
• Share on label data with HCPs, discussing all aspects of the data in a scientific, objective and balanced way.
• Build understanding and value to clinical practice of ZP products aligned with scientific objectives.
• Build Zuellig relationship with key external stakeholders (e.g. government bodies, patient advocacy groups, key medical organizations) by providing scientific support.
• Provide responses to unsolicited inquiry for medical information.
B. Medical support for internal stakeholders
• Identify HCPs with the scientific expertise in treatment practice to collaborate on forward-thinking medical projects identified in strategic brand planning.
• Identify unmet needs and capture medical insights or feedback in support of the strategy development.
• Develop and implement field medical plan and activities.
• Provide scientific support at Zuellig sponsored educational events.
• Conduct appropriate Zuellig staff training & development on information regarding current clinical data and emerging trends in medical practice within therapeutic categories.
• Work in Brand teams to guide internal decision-making (perception tracking/competitor information).
• Provide scientific input for BD project as required.
• Review and approval of promotional materials to be used in country.
C. Knowledge of therapeutic category
• Strong scientific Knowledge in assigned therapeutic area(s), clinical trial methods, data interpretation and continue to learn more in depth about a specific therapeutic area.
• Keep abreast and attend scientific congresses to gather contextualized information on treatment landscape and new developments.

Must-Have:
• Masters degree in Medical/Life Science/Pharmacy
• Related working experience in research/academic/healthcare industry
• Expected to work independently and to converse on a peer to peer basis with health care professionals
• Able to offer Medical support to both external and internal stakeholders
Advantage to Have:
• PhD degree in Medical/Life Science/Pharmacy
• 1-2 years MSL or Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, scientific research, and in pharmaceutical industry
