Overall Role Purpose

Medical Product Specialist act as the key point of contact between pharmaceutical companies and customers/Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), whose aim is to promote and create demand for pharmaceutical products.

The goal is to promote product awareness through increased visibility, maximize sales growth through prescription/demand and sales generating activities.

To call, promote and sell to customers in order to achieve targets, increase sales of existing products and expand the market for new products.

                                                                                                                  

 

Duties and Responsibilities

•Make territory sales plan by products and by customers in accordance with the marketing plan and direction, assigned sales and SFE targets. Reports the result and corrective action on a monthly basis.

•Promote product through good product knowledge and appropriate way of use of promotional materials i.e. samples (brochures, detailing aids). Provide technical, scientific and disease management product information to customers.

•Interact with and persuade targeted HCPs to prescribe our products utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis.  Reviews regularly the master list and recommends customers for addition and/or deletion of customers in the masterlist.

•Build positive trust relationships to targeted group of HCPs like Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to persuade them to use the products under his portfolio.  Assess both business and scientific needs of targeted HCPs and present suitable responsive approach with appropriate resources to address the customer needs.

•Organize CMEs and RTMs (round team meeting) with targeted HCP or in assigned territories and provide authentic product presentations as required.

•Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage to expand and penetrate the market with both new and existing products. 

•Report on competitor’s activities and market situation.

•Work with sales team to develop and implement strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message.  Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and symposium courses to continue to gain knowledge and skills.

•Achieve sales target both in products and number of customers as per monthly and quarterly plan and increase sales of existing customers.

•Able to travel to assigned province areas and create active accounts, generate new prescriptions and keep timely regular follow up.

•Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback. 

•Informs superiors of customer about requests or result of those requests or complains and inform customers on results of those requests and complaints.

•Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up-to-date with latest medical data.

•Submit all required reports on time.

•Perform other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.
