Purpose of The Role:
The Automation Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of the company’s automated systems, including ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) and future warehouse automation solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and troubleshoot ASRS and other automated systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs as assigned by the Automation Engineer.
- Supervise and coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Document maintenance activities, system issues, and resolutions for record-keeping and analysis.
- Identify potential system issues, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and recommend solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Assist in spare parts and engineering tools management with the Automation Engineer.
- Support the commissioning of new automation solutions.
- Provide support to the Facilities team as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company standards.
What Will Make You Successful:
Must-Have:
- Certificate of Technical Competency or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including conveyors, cranes, motors, sensors, VFDs, ASRS, shuttle cars, PLCs, and other industrial machinery.
- Ability to safely work at heights.
