Purpose of the Role:

As the Supply Chain Business Partner Manager, you will strategically lead the end-to-end planning, procurement, and inventory management lifecycle. In this key leadership role, you will act as the primary strategic supply chain partner for our Business Segments, spearheading the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply with demand over long-term strategic horizons (24+ months).

You will drive operational excellence by optimizing inventory holding (Days of Inventory - DOI), maximizing product availability, optimizing Net Working Capital (NWC), and mitigating supply chain risks while identifying commercial growth opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

1. Strategic Business Partnering & Long-Term S&OP Leadership

  • Lead the monthly integrated S&OP process across designated Business Units, driving strategic consensus on rolling 24-month+ supply and demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, and Operations leads to align operational execution with corporate strategic goals.

2. Demand Planning & Forecasting Management

  • Facilitate monthly forecast reviews with the Sales team to ensure full alignment with dynamic market requirements and commercial pipelines.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of baseline inventory, historical sales trends, forecast accuracy, and outstanding Purchase Orders (POs).

3. Inventory Optimization

  • Plan and execute PO placements adhering to established Days of Inventory (DOI) agreements and demand forecasts.
  • Actively monitor, control, and optimize Net Working Capital (NWC) against corporate targets.
  • Formulate proactive mitigation plans for slow-moving/non-moving (SLOB) stock and products with short expiration dates (Short ED).

4. Supply Fulfillment & Supplier Performance

  • Track and drive Supplier OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance and vendor delivery schedules to ensure alignment with internal lead times.
  • Dynamically manage stock allocations and inter-branch inventory transfers to meet urgent customer demands and service-level commitments.

5. Cross-Functional Operations & Governance

  • Partner with the Logistics team to streamline dispatch, warehousing, and branch distribution schedules.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely and accurate execution of the Goods Receipt – Invoice Receipt (GR-IR) reconciliation process.

6. Analytics, Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare comprehensive supply chain scorecards (e.g., planned orders, supplier OTIF, DOI, stock aging, Short ED) for executive leadership reviews.
  • Identify bottlenecks and champion continuous process improvement initiatives across supply chain workflows.

7. Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead, coach and develop Supply Chain BP team members to build strong technical, analytical and business-partnering capabilities

What Will Make You Successful:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related technical/business discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of total experience in core Supply Chain operations (specifically covering Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Procurement/Sourcing).
  • Minimum 3+ years in a managerial, supervisory, or people leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience leading and facilitating Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycles.
  • Solid track record managing Net Working Capital (NWC) and Inventory Optimization / DOI targets
  • Direct experience in Supplier Performance Management, monitoring OTIF, and PO lifecycle execution
  • Practical understanding of the GR-IR (Goods Receipt – Invoice Receipt) process and cross-functional coordination with Finance and Logistics.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SAP ERP (specifically MM and/or PP modules) or equivalent large-scale ERP/WMS systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modelling, and forecast scenario building).

Advantages to Have:

  • Experience within Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, FMCG, or Cold Chain Distribution.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, batch tracking, FEFO (First Expired, First Out), and Short Expiry Date (Short ED) / SLOB mitigation.
  • Globally recognized Supply Chain certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM, or SCOR-P).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt / Black Belt) with demonstrated project delivery in inventory or lead-time reduction
