Purpose of The Role:
To cultivate and deepen strategic relationships with key clients, ensuring profitable contract renewals and fostering long-term, expanded partnerships. Responsible for leading critical client engagements, driving client satisfaction and loyalty, and navigating internal complexities to deliver exceptional value and secure new business opportunities within the market.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and proactively enhance relationships with a portfolio of key clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and long-term partnership.
- Drive profitable contract renewals by demonstrating continued value and identifying opportunities for expansion across our solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic Key Account Plans for each key client, outlining renewal strategies, growth opportunities, and risk mitigation.
- Foster win-win collaborations and engagements that align client objectives with our strategic goals.
- Lead the end-to-end process for Request for Proposals (RFPs), both for Distribution contract renewals and new business opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and the broader market.
- Develop a deep understanding of key clients' financial performance, specifically their Profit & Loss (P&L) and Net Working Capital (NWC) positions, to inform partnership strategies.
- Contribute to market-level strategic planning by providing insights into client needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Strategically drive client satisfaction, increasing loyalty and "stickiness" through exceptional service and value delivery.
- Organize and manage regular executive connection meetings with key clients to gather feedback, understand evolving business needs, and strengthen relationships.
- Maintain frequent touch points with clients to ensure ongoing engagement and address any emerging concerns.
- Champion a high standard of client care, actively contributing to the improvement of client survey results and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Lead client engagements at the market level, providing clarity and direction amidst internal complexities.
- Coordinate and enable cross-market collaboration to pursue key opportunities and address client challenges effectively.
- Liaise and collaborate closely with various internal functions, including Client Services, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Legal, to develop comprehensive responses to client requests.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of CRM data at the market level, providing a reliable source for client information and strategic insights.
- Maintain a proactive and responsive approach, with a quick turnaround time for client inquiries and a strong problem-solving attitude.
What Will Make You Successful:
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing key client relationships and driving profitable contract renewals within a complex B2B environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex RFPs and securing significant new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including P&L and NWC, with the ability to apply this knowledge to client partnerships.
- Experience developing and executing strategic account plans that lead to measurable results.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across internal teams and at senior client levels.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other relevant business tools.
- Effective written communications skills.Able to interact and work well with all levels of employees.
- Possess active listening skills to understand others’ perspectives.
Advantage to Have:
- Master’s degree.5-10 years of experience in B2B Business Development, specifically selling integrated products and solutions to clients.
- Experience in the relevant industry (e.g., logistics, supply chain, technology solutions).
