Compliance Analyst (Contract Based, Hong Kong)

Purpose of the Role: We are seeking an analytical and proactive Compliance Analyst to support our regional governance and compliance assurance initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing client commercial contracts, leveraging modern AI-assisted legal tools alongside rigorous manual verification, benchmarking operational practices, and coordinating remediation strategies with local business units.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform structured reviews of client contracts to identify and assess key provisions governing compliance, regulatory standards, quality assurance, and governance responsibilities.
- Apply AI legal tools and internal workflow agents to accelerate contract clause extraction, conducting thorough manual quality assurance and cross-checks for precision.
- Engage with internal teams to identify current policies and practices related to the identified key clauses.
- Execute detailed gap analyses comparing contract terms against local business implementation; highlight areas of non-alignment and compliance risks.
- Consolidate findings into structured compliance reports, track remediation milestones, and deliver regular progress updates to the Regional Project Manager.
What Will Make You Successful:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Legal Studies, Corporate Governance, or related disciplines.
- Candidates holding or pursuing Master’s / MBA / LL.M. / JD credentials are welcome.
- Familiarity with reviewing standard contract clauses (e.g., governance covenants, audit rights, compliance terms).
- Comfortable adopting and evaluating AI-driven analysis tools, legal tech platforms, and document management systems.
- High attention to detail with proven ability to analyze complex contractual documents and distill clear, actionable operational insights.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks independently to meet project milestones.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
