Purpose of the Role:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist plays a key supporting role as a data and market-insight analyst. This position is responsible for delivering data processing, routine reporting, and basic market analysis to support external and internal stakeholders in Taiwan (TW) and Hong Kong (HK).
- Cross-functional Support: Assist Sales/MKT, Business Development (BD), and regional departments by providing accurate data measurements, trend visualizations, and analytical support to facilitate growth and operational efficiency.
- Insight Delivery: Help identify business issues and growth opportunities by gathering market data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate market perspectives into business plans.
- Requirement Translation: Assist in gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into clear data visualizations and understandable reports.
What You’ll Do :
- Business Understanding: Develop a foundational understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution business, departmental contributions, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- KPI & Report Maintenance: Collaborate with department analysts to maintain and update routine KPI reports and dashboards to track company-wide performance.
- Commercial Support: Assist in preparing analytical reports and market insights for Commercialization teams and Principals to support ZP’s professional image.
- Dashboard Development: Learn, build, and implement routine reports and interactive dashboards using enterprise reporting software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Execute ad-hoc data extractions and analyses to help answer urgent business questions and support data-driven decision-making.
- Data Quality & Governance: Assist in maintaining the repository of enterprise metric definitions to ensure data consistency, and collaborate with data owners to monitor and report data quality issues.
- Market Research Support: Support the marketing team by conducting basic pharmaceutical market research and gathering secondary market data.
- System Implementation: Assist regional and local teams in the deployment, testing, and daily maintenance of CSM systems and dashboards in Taiwan according to regional timelines.
What will make you successful:
Must-Have:
- Basic proficiency in reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Foundational knowledge of databases and SQL queries (ability to write basic select statements and joins).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, formulas…).
- Good communication and presentation skills; ability to present data in a structured, easy-to-understand format.
- Strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and high curiosity about data.
- Quick learner with a desire to understand the pharmaceutical/healthcare business.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or market research.
- Fresh graduates with strong analytical academic projects or internships in BI/Healthcare are highly welcome.
Advantage to Have:
- Degrees in Biological and Life Science, Public Health, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology, Statistics, or Information Management (MIS) are highly preferred.
- Prior internship or project experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sector is a strong plus
