Purpose of The Role:
As the leader of the e-commerce division in its start-up phase, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, developing and executing the business plan, and taking full ownership of the venture's success. This is an exciting opportunity to build a business from the ground up, backed by a market leader, and make a significant impact on the future of healthcare commerce in Vietnam.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- P&L and Business Ownership: Assume full P&L responsibility for the Vietnam marketplace. Develop and execute comprehensive business plans, manage budgets, and drive the venture towards ambitious revenue growth and profitability targets.
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution: Design and implement agile go-to-market strategies to rapidly acquire both sellers and buyers. Establish a strong market presence by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities in a competitive landscape.
- eCommerce Platform Growth: Drive online sales and profitability by managing and optimizing the end-to-end platform experience. Analyse marketplace traffic, user behaviour, and conversion funnels to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
- Seller and Partner Negotiations: Lead the business development efforts to identify, onboard, and nurture strategic sellers and partners. Personally drive contract and commercial term negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing local team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, providing the mentorship and guidance required to achieve strategic objectives.
- Operational & Product Excellence: Collaborate closely with regional Product, Tech, and Operations teams to guide the development of key platform features. Ensure the platform's functionality, scalability, and stability meet the evolving needs of the Vietnamese market.
What Will Help You Succeed (Qualifications & Experience)
- eCommerce Leadership: Proven experience (8-10+ years) in a senior leadership role within the eCommerce, digital marketplace, or technology industry, with a demonstrated track record of scaling operations and driving revenue growth.
- P&L and Financial Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen, with direct experience in budgeting, financial planning, and full P&L responsibility.
- Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional negotiation skills with experience structuring and closing complex commercial agreements. Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and manage relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, 0-to-1 mindset, with the agility to navigate ambiguity and the drive to build a business from the ground up within a corporate venture structure.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Vietnamese digital consumer landscape. Direct experience in the Pharmaceutical or Consumer Health industry is a significant advantage.
- Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
